Marina del Rey, CA –Caecilia Gotama, PE, takes pride in announcing this month marks the seventh anniversary of her successful mechanical/electrical/plumbing design firm, Gotama Building Engineers, Inc. Based in Marina del Rey, California, Gotama Building Engineers is awoman-owned (WBE) business that serves the architectural, developer and construction communities with the best in quality-controlled design of building systems.  

 

As founder and name principal of Gotama Building Engineers, Inc., Caecilia Gotama has more than 20 years’ experience in coordinating, managing and master planning projects. Prior to starting her own company, Ms. Gotama served as a project engineer for Ove Arup & Partners, and rose to Vice President at Syska &Hennessy, where she launched an international division for the firm in the Far East. Among her considerable accomplishments, Ms. Gotama led her engineering design team on the new Arrowhead Medical Center, a one million square foot hospital replacement facility in San Bernardino County, where she is credited with developing an innovative piping design that is able to withstand an 8.5 magnitude earthquake - an essential in the superior design of emergency facilities in California.

 

With the inception of Gotama Building Engineers, Inc., Ms. Gotama was empowered to create an environment that would enable architects, engineers and clients to work toward the betterment of the built environment in an atmosphere of respect and distinguished quality. Through her leadership and active participation, Gotama Building Engineers, Inc. has contracted a number of high-profile commissions, including the renovation of the Hollywood Bowl, the construction of the Hollywood and Highland retail and hospitality development, and the current redevelopment of the Port of Los Angeles’ Waterfront Plaza and Promenade in San Pedro, featuring an eight-mile waterfront stretch of mixed-use residential and retail as well as parks, museums, transportation, and "Interface Plaza," a three-acre public site where downtown San Pedro intersects the waterfront.

In addition to celebrating seven years of escalating success, Gotama Building Engineers,Inc. is happy to announce the appointment of Mary Jo Mrochinski to Marketing Director of the firm.  With an extensive background in sales and development from marketing consultant to Tishman Construction Corporation of California, marketing and business development for Leo A Daly – Los Angeles, and marketing management for Pfeiffer Partners, the Los Angeles spin-off of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, Ms. Mrochinski brings her knowledge of the architectural and construction community to benefit Gotama Building Engineers, Inc. and its partners in the architectural, developer and construction communities.  She currently serves on the board of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), a professional marketing association to the architectural/engineering/construction industries, as Public Relations Chair.
